Based on your assessment findings a specific exercise program may be devised to complement your treatment and ensure carry over between sessions.
It may be necessary to use hands on treatment to help with realigning muscles and soft tissues and encouraging them to work in an efficient way.
Sometimes it is helpful to use a splint in order to provide a prolonged stretch or to help with walking if the desired muscles are weak.
This is a dynamic splint used to help with walking specifically when there is a foot drop.
Exercise programs and specific advice regarding stretches can be taught to carers.
Advice can be given regarding the safest and most efficient way to move, this may involve the use of aids and adaptations.
Wheelchair and postural advice can also be given.
Activity specific exercise programs can be taught and carried out. Sessions can take place in your home, garden, gym or local swimming pool.
